We work with local chefs to create and sell fresh food for intentional eaters within the DC, LA, SF and DFW metropolitan cities. We are seeking more passionate individuals to join our Los Angeles Culinary Team.
About the Role
Line cooks are an integral part of the culinary production team. You’ll be expected to execute the preparation and cooking of menu items. Including proteins like poultry, fish, beef and pork as well as a variety of produce items, both cooked and raw. Answering, and following team lead and manager instructions daily.
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
Understand, read and verify recipe instructions. Prepare food per recipe guidelines (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
Stock/staging of inventory for daily production. May require lifting heavy cambro’s full of food and entering walk-in/freezer multiple times.
Interpreting and fulfilling daily production lists within allotted production time. Proven worker that focuses on speed, accuracy and attention to detail, with a tremendous sense of pride for the end product.
Proven cooking experience, particularly in commercial kitchen setting. Minimum of 2-5+ years.
Comply with company standards, policies, and procedures, and assist in assuring the same from fellow employees.
Follow all HACCP Food Safety guidelines, but not limited to: GMP’s, Quality, Sanitation & Safety. Food handlers card is required, culinary degree a plus.
Regular exposure to cold environments; including refrigerators and freezers.
Lifting required up to 50lbs. Carrying 20-50 lbs.
